By Susan Velez
Anyone who has a canine friend understands how they work hard to make you happy. They are our best friend, but what do you do if your dog/puppy is out of control and has now become the master of your home. Do you call Caesar Milan? Most likely most people do not have that option and besides you want to learn how to take back control of your household. It is not that difficult; I have listed some easy instructions on how to train your dog. If you learn how to follow them you will experience a quiet household in a short amount of time.1. Be consistent on your training: You want to make sure that you do the training everyday. Your dog/puppy will learn from the repetition of this training. If you constantly tell them to do something they will eventually continue doing it. However if you constantly tell them "not" to do something they will learn that as well.

2. Do not hit your dog: They will
listen to you and you never need to hit or kick them. If you begin
hitting them they will learn to fear you and will become scared to come
to you. As a matter of fact they will cower down whenever you approach
them, this is not good. You want to raise a dog that feels great and
confident.
3. Reward them: Everyone including dogs love to be
rewarded for things they do correctly. If you are teaching your dog to
sit; and whenever you give the command he/she sits. You want to make
sure you give him a positive reward by telling them "good boy" and give
them some attention for learning how to sit on command. They will
understand that this is a good thing they are doing and will continue
to do it.
4. Your families responsibility: Teach your family how
to begin to take care of the puppy. Many kids love puppies and they are
the reason that many families get a family pet. Give them some of the
responsibility of what it means to have a pet. This not only teaches
them how to learn responsibilities; but will also help you relieve some
of the responsibilities how to train your puppy/dog.
5.
Understanding: Be patience and give your dog time to learn everything.
